The Houston Sportsplex, located at 12631 South Main, Houston, 77035, offers 8 on 8 mens and co-ed flag football leagues year round. All fields are fully lighted for night games and the facility has 2 concessions on site with an air conditioned indoor sitting area with a big screen TV to relax and enjoy food and drinks before and after your game. Starting in 2009, the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department will offer mens, womens and co-ed 8 on 8 leagues (A, B and C divisions) year round. Participating teams can compete to qualify for the Texas Amateur Athletic Association State Championship Tournament held annually each December. The 2008 TAAF champioship will be held in Brownsville, Texas the weekend of December 6-7, 2008.
The PARD is currently registering teams for the fall league starting September 8 and running through October. Double header leagues to be played at Memorial and Cullen Parks. Registration runs through August 22, 2008. $330 per team. Register at the Adults Sports Office, 6402 Market Street, 77020 at the Denver Harbor Center M-F, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
